Ukraine rolled out a one-of-a-kind NFT Museum to collect funds and support its citizens and armed forces in the middle of the ongoing war with Russia. Titled “Meta History Museum of War”, sales of the nonfungible tokens are estimated to begin shortly.

The aforementioned project has been developed with the objective of trying to safeguard memoirs of current events and disperse factual information across the digital medium all across the world, and accumulate funds for the purpose of supporting Ukrainians.
The idea behind the development and preservation of Ukraine’s history was initially disclosed by Alex Bornyakov. The museum will be an online place for the celebration of Ukrainian identity and freedom. Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine’s Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation made an official statement on Twitter about the launch on March 25. His Twitter handle states:

History Preservation and Humanitarian Relief
Proceeds from the NFT Museum will also be used to help humanitarian relief and fund armed forces against the mighty Russians. The government intends to use blockchain technology as a tool to leave a historical mark on the plight of Ukrainians throughout the war.
“The formula of each NFT is clear and simple: each token is a real news piece from an official source and an illustration from artists, both Ukrainian and international. We will never let any single day of this period disappear from the ledger of world history.”

Unique Features
The Ministry declared each NFT is built with a clear and simple formula consisting of an actual news piece along with artistic illustrations from Ukrainian and international artists. The NFT images are made using the Fair BFT platform built upon Ethereum and Polygon. Forbes estimates suggest that the NFT museum will generate sales worth 2-3 million USD, consisting of 5000 to 7000 NFTs valued at $450 each.
The NFTs are created in chronological order will artist’s perception on the aftermath of the war on the peaceful Ukrainian population- from the outbreak’s inception to the nation’s victory celebration. Another unique feature of the NFT collection is that all the illustrations are concealed until sold. This means no buyer will be able to know what they ae purchasing before the acquisition. The museum puts it as “You unveil the truth buying MetaHistory.”
